Angela deJong graduated from the University of Alberta with a degree in Physical Education. She is a certified personal trainer and nutrition and wellness specialist. Angela has more than 13 years of hands on experience in the health and wellness field. Prior to starting her own personal training and health business, Angela spent 8 years as a marketing professional in the health industry. In addition to her full time position, Angela trained clients, on her own time, simply because she had a passion for helping individuals lead a healthier life.
Through Acacia Fitness, Angela is able to reach out to individuals that are ready to make a lifestyle change. Passionate about health and fitness and its possibilities, Angela provides a range of services that help people meet their personal goals.
Angela’s personal achievements and pursuits include: traveling the world, outdoor activities, and spending time with family and friends. Specifically, Angela has completed several marathons, adventure races, and has trekked to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa, Machu Pichu in Peru, and to base camp of Mt. Everest in Nepal. Overall, Angela enjoys leading a healthy/happy lifestyle, and truly loves what she is now doing with Acacia Fitness. Acacia fitness is named for the Acacia tree found in Africa. The Acacia tree acts as a source of nutrition, healing, and shelter for people and animals alike.
